Course
Objectives
The
fundamental objective of the course is to provide students an
opportunity to study an area of special interest which is greater in
depth than the general curriculum and prepare a dissertation theses
in that particular field. The class work requires to submit regular
“Progression Reports” at least once a three or four weeks. The
reports are going to be evaluated on the basis of presentations that
will be done in the class time along with discussions.
What
is expected from students
The
students are expected to follow the three hours per week regular
class work in which the content and format instructions and the
presentations of “Progression Reports” will be covered. They are
responsible of making and attending the preparatory presentations
which reflect the developments of the improvements in their thesis
study.
Tentative

Introduction
on how the course will be carried out.

Scheduling
the flow of the working phases towards the preparation of the
dissertation thesis progress reports.

Reviewing
the guidelines on how to prepare the progress reports.

Presentation
of the thesis progress reports in the class time and making
discussions on the developments that have been achieved by each
student.

Giving
an opportunity to make interviews with the prospective supervisors
on a particular topic.

Reporting
the results of these investigations.

Introducing
how to write the thesis.

Demonstration
of a well organized thesis and discussion on the defense strategy
that will be adopted.
